CAN YOU GET A TAN UNDER A POOL SCREEN?

by admin

Summer is fast approaching and people are eager to spend time outside in the sun. What happens when a pool screen is involved? Swimming pools are a popular destination during summer. Is it possible to tan even under a poolscreen?

You can tan underneath a pool screen.

The reason is that a pool screen does not filter or protect against the ultraviolet rays of the sun, which are what cause your skin to turn tanned.

The main purpose of a pool screen is to prevent debris, bugs and other pests entering the pool.

Glass blocks UVB and UVC rays (100% of UVB and UVC cannot get through, but only a small percentage of UVA). Glass pool screens may not give you a tan at all, or only very slowly.

Why is tanning under a pool screen better?

A fine mesh pool screen will give you some shade. It can slow down the rate of tanning. You may not tan quite as fast under a poolscreen as you would in direct sunlight. There are two main reasons to tan in front of a pool screen.

SHADES AVAILABLE

Only a small part of the sun’s rays are ultraviolet (UV). These rays cause your skin to produce dark pigment melanin. This is what gives you a tan.

UV rays from direct sunlight can cause damage to your skin, your eyes and your immune system.

You can therefore tan under a poolscreen while reducing any negative effects of direct sun exposure.

Although pool screens can’t block 100% of the UV rays they still help minimize any negative effects.

MORE Privacy Offered

The screen of the pool can be used as a privacy barrier to keep you in your own space. You can enjoy more privacy while tanning. You won’t feel like you are being watched. You will feel comfortable.

How can I get a good tan under a pool screen?

PREP BEFORE TANNING

It can make a big difference to prepare your skin for your tanning session.

This includes cleansing exfoliating and moisturizing.

  • Cleaning: A clean and clear surface is ideal for tanning. Before going for a tan, you should wash and bathe with a cleanser that is suitable for your skin type and does not contain harsh chemicals or ingredients.
  • Exfoliating : Exfoliating ensures the tan will develop on fresh skin, and that it will do so evenly. Use a loofah or scrub, a bath brush, or a bath puff to remove impurities such as dead skin.
  • Moisturizing : Dry skin flakes off easily and prevents the tan to develop nicely. You should moisturize and hydrate the skin before tanning. Apply a thin layer of moisturizer to your skin and make sure you pay special attention to your elbows, knees and ankles. This is best done several days before your tanning session.

USE SUNCREEN

Many people believe that sunscreen will prevent you from getting a tan. This is a myth. You must apply sunscreen before tanning. It will help you to achieve a healthy tan.

Wearing sunscreen can help protect your skin from sunburn and other damage.

The time until you burn is lengthened by sunscreen. It does not change the depth of a tan or how long it takes to develop.

Sunscreen protects against skin cancer, photoaging and other harmful effects of the sun. It also reduces the risk of inflammation which can lead to other skin issues, such as wrinkles or age spots.

It does not matter whether it’s a sunny day or a cloudy one, there are still 80% UV rays present in the air.

Some people claim that a sunburn can turn into a tan. This is a dangerous thought. It is not a good idea to be proud of the glow that occurs when redness fades.

TAN AT RIGHT TIME

Check the weather and calendar before you decide on a time for tan. The optimal time to tan in the sun occurs between 10 A.M. and 4 P.M. This can vary depending on several factors such as the season and where you live.

If you’re higher or closer to the equator (i.e. on a mountain), your sun exposure will be stronger and more direct. Reduce the duration of your sessions if it’s a hot, humid month.

It does not mean you have to tan between 10 A.M. and 4 P.M. You may prefer to go when the sun is not as harsh.

The “shadow method” is a good way to determine the intensity of UV rays. The UV rays are less intense if it’s taller than you!

It goes without saying, that a sunny day is the best for tanning. On a cloudy or rainy day you can still tan, but it may take longer because the clouds block some UV rays. Wearing sunscreen is still necessary. )

Avoid sunburns by tanning early in the morning, or after 3pm if you have fair skin.

OFTEN CHANGE POSITIONS

It is very important to achieve a uniform tan. Start on your back and then move to your left, stomach, then your right.

Remember to move your legs and arms around frequently. You want to make sure that your skin is exposed to the sun evenly.

Every 15-30 minutes, you should rotate your position.

How can I get a tan quicker under a pool screen?

USE LOW SPF SUNSCREEN

You can still get some protection with a low-SPF sunscreen, but it will help you to tan more quickly.

  • Ideal is a sunscreen with at least SPF 30. This level of SPF will protect your skin against UVA and UVB radiation, but won’t interfere with or prevent tanning. Apply sunscreen at least 20 minutes prior to going out in the sun.
  • You can reduce the SPF if you already have a light-tanned skin.
  • If this is your very first time tanning you should choose SPF 30 in order to avoid sunburns.

Sunscreens are available in a variety of forms, including aerosol sprays, mists and oil-based lotions. Water-textured sunscreens tend to be easier to apply and spread across the skin.

Reapply sunscreen after coming into contact with water or every two hours.

BASE TAN

Use a natural tanner as your base instead of one purchased in the store.

There are many options: olive oil (olive oil), hazelnut oil (hazelnut oil), sunflower oil (sesame oil), avocado oil (coconut oil), sesame oil and wheat-germ oils, to name a few. These oils are able to attract the sun, giving your skin a healthy olive glow.

Lay a float on the water

Water reflects the sun. If you are lying on a floating device in a body water, the sunlight is likely to bounce off of it and onto you. The water also reflects UV light at different angles, which is then reflected onto you.

On the water you will absorb (1) the light directly from sunlight, (2) the light reflected and (3) the light refracted. You will tan faster if you absorb and expose yourself to the sun.

How can I reduce the chance of tanning?

A pool screen can be a good idea if you want to protect your skin from the sun and avoid tanning. It cannot block UV rays but it can provide shade and slow down the rate at which you can tan.

You can also opt for the following sun protection measures.

  • Wear a hat for protection of your face
  • Wear sunglasses to protect your vision
  • Wear clothing that covers you. Dark colors like black absorb more UV. Wear whites and pastels.
  • Lip balms with SPF of 15 or more are recommended. Your lips don’t need to be tanned, but cracked and dry lips caused by being in the sun can cause severe pain.
